Don't use a cable lock for your bike if you have a bike. People can cut through them and take your bike. Which is what happened to mine. And now I have a new new bike. (oi) I hope whoever has my old new bike appreciates it. ;) And word to those who DON'T want people running off with your bike... buy the metal horseshoe-shaped bolt locks that CAN'T be cut through.

I saw a moderately-amusing video on the 'net the other day where a prankster left his bike sitting, unlocked and unguarded, outside a store in a high-crime neighborhood. Thing is, there was someone across the street with a camera. And, they'd strategically loosened a few vital screws. In a matter of minutes, some low-life comes along and jacks the bike... but the minute he gets on it and starts peddling, it completely falls apart and dumps him in a pile in the street.
So, it's really gone?
